Entry #2 [3/16/26]

A whole week has passed, so might as well do another one of these. So, lets list the things I've done.
I've entirely moved houses, somehow less stressful than I thought it was going to be. The new room is set up differently then my old one though, and I don't have any soundproofing here yet. I'm kinda hesitant to record anything now because of that, but I guess I could do the tried and true method of just moving to the closet to record.
I really want to make something for Out of the Auditary. It's kind of perfect timing because I just read "The Construction of the Eighth Wall: Layered Realities in MCYT Storytelling" (It's an amazing essay, highly recommend) by iamsolarflare (who has a blanket permission statement!!!) and I was already thinking about podficing that one. Another idea I had for Out of the Auditary was to do something in the series "The Magnus Institute vs the 21st Century: a series of emails and IMs" because I remember really liking those fics. It's been a good while since I last read them, but the formatting is really fun. I think any of those fics would also lend themselves well to some fun sound design.
I don't think I've mentioned this, but I have a goal this year to read one book and make one "good" art piece every month. This month's book will probably be System Collapse by Martha Wells. I've read the rest of the Murderbot Diaries and for some reason I've been stuck on this book for months, so I want to finish that. Hopefully this week if I can find the time for it.
Today's Bannerfall streams were fun, some little lore drops. Also I offer this clip to the people. Owain is so aromantic coded (too me at least). I do find it interesting how I have somehow managed to miss every single plague lore scene. Ok I'm writing this while watching and Nom is trying to convince Scott to siege the Red Kingdom at this moment. Oh Nom's character is going off a deep end and I don't even think he knows it this time.
I'll see if I can get a whole day ahead on school this week so I can have more time to work on personal projects. The last time I did that I ended up having one of my best weeks, so I want to see if I can make this a habit.
