trashburgersblairA small post* for Bannerfall Thursday. For the record, I'm starting writing this 3 hours before the event even starts. I'll be going back to this post to add and edit things probably throughout the entire day (so far that has actually been my process for all my posts).
And before the parcel elf arrives I have 1 (one) thing to say. You can tell what genre this server is because Legundo has hair. And speaking of Legundo I want to look at this character design real quick because it is so pretty.

Marblegroves and IamLevil (twitter usernames I believe?) did an amazing job with the art, as always. I would also like to point out how damn pretty the background art for this one is. Those trees? Immaculate.
Pre-day Predictions
Oh! and predictions on who the new monarchs will be! The people who haven't been monarchs yet are Apo, Katie, Beck, and Sausage (red kingdom) and 4C, Nom, Owain, and Graecie (blue kingdom).
I don't watch much red kingdom so I'm not solid on their dynamics, but I don't think Beck will run, Apo also doesn't strike me as the type to run unless Cherri pressures her into it. Kaite.... might? But it's a big might. If she does I figure it will be another way for her to try to prove her independence. Sausage is looking like the most likely option for red kingdom, but from my understanding he is not in the best of standing with his kingdom right now, so that could be intresting.
And for blue kingdom Owain certainly isn't running and I have a horrible feeling Nom won't run until the last monarchy of the server (which I believe is the one after this?). Graecie said she wouldn't want to run, but I really want to see her be a monarch, it probably won't happen but its a possibility in my heart. And that leaves 4C! Who I think is the most likely to run for monarch. He's been feeling pretty unappreciated and unsafe in the blue kingdom, so perhaps he might turn to ruling over it for a short period as a last ditch effort to gain respect. After the discovery of the tunnels though, I'm not sure how well that will go.
And parcel elf predictions! I think he is either going to be extremely silly and everyone will love him or the biggest asshole rivaling one Scott Goldsmith. Either way, I would be happy. For the kingdom review I think he will be nit picky about the stupidest of things and it will be great. I think blue might win (assuming it is a competition) but that might just be my blue kingdom bias showing through. Red kingdom has been looking quite pretty, but there are a lot less buildings with fewer interiors (their interior to building ratio is probably higher than the blue kingdom's but numbers wise less.)

Post-Day Thoughts (spoilers)
That went so much worse than I ever could have hoped. I am grinning from ear to ear. Its so over and we are so back. Where do I even begin. I have so much vod watching to do. Y'know I planned to update this a bit as I was watching but everything went to shit so violently I couldn't think of anything to say until after it was over.
Well... The postal elf was silly. Great vibes from him all around, Legs played it amazingly. I don't know if him forming a somewhat bond with 4c was intentional foreshadowing to what would happen later, but it played into it very well. AND I WAS RIGHT BLUE KINGDOM WON HAHA. Him having a connection to Graecie was also very cute. He honestly got along with everyone in the blue kingdom very well, this would have been such a nice fun and silly cameo episode. Oh I think ooc on Noms stream he mentioned that if Blue Kingdom wasn't chosen that he would have ordered Owain to kill Legs so..... best that blue kingdom did win, for the benefit of everyone involved.
I didn't get to watch any of the Red Kingdom tour (or really any red kingdom at all) so I'll be skipping over them. I do really really really wanna watch Katie's vod of this though.
And speaking of Katie! New monarchs! Yippee! ngl I totally thought it would be Sausage and Graecie, but I actually think those two might be next instead. The Creaking King message Graecie got today would lead really well into this as well (he asked her if she would be willing to kill the neck romancer to maintain the balance of the kingdoms, she choose yes) (Graecie should be allow to kill whoever she wants btw. She deserves it). I can already tell this monarchy reign is going to be one of angst, whump, and suffering. I shall enjoy every moment of it.
AND OH GOD THE ANGST TODAY. The moment Nom said the "do I have to say it" thing I immediately knew the miscommunication was going to go crazy and oh how crazy it went. How I practically screamed with the music change when he grabbed his mace. HOW HE KEPT THE MOURNING STAR UNDER WHERE HE AND KATIE MET. What the hell is wrong with this man. He makes me so angry. I need to see him killed. I need to see him irreparably hurt everyone around him and then be killed by someone he once trusted (Katie, Graecie, or 4c is who I'm betting on). My god cc!Nom is so good at roleplay. His arguments, how he tries to justify his actions, how he convinces Scott to back him on his decisions (Springwell grow a spine I beg of thee (actually please don't it is so much more interesting this way, I need to see him be fully taken advantage of) ).
AND MAE'S REACTION TO WHAT HE DID. Mae Maezes you are so incredibly good at crying that was heartbreaking. The initial denial of it all... How they were crying through the coronation. Oh it was incredible!!! How she got the postal elf's signature for 4c [insert picture of me sobbing]. I love her and Graecie's friendship as well. I think my artwork for this month will be one of them together. God, I am somehow hoping against hope that Graecie can get Mae, Shan, and Katie out of these damn kingdoms.
I didn't get to see much of Shan today but I imagine how hard it would be on her. Nom x Shan x 4c was such a solid trio for the longest time. And she's been kept pretty out of the loop with their drama so I imagine this was such a blow to her. During his coronation she did repeat the new kingdom chant but it was so much more hesitant than Springwell and Owain did. And than when the parcel elf returned to give the aid she stood back, outside the throne room with Mae. I think the last I saw of her on stream she was almost crying and planning to look for 4c. Can someone please give my girl a break. All my girls need breaks actually.

Like, he is totally off the deep end right? He has fully declared war with Red. He is so, incredibly self centered he can't see all everyone else has done for him. He can't think of Katie not wanting her life to be centered around his. He has repeatedly underestimated her, ignored what she has said, disregarded her opinions, and generally has had it ingrained in his mind that he must be the center of her life. Because Katie was the center of his. (I feel like this reading of it isn't quite right, but I can't think of another way to explain it right now). Insert something about his ultimatum being if Katie could come back to Blue the war would be over (I think he intentionally worded it that way to make it sound more peaceful than it ever could be. I think that if Katie went back to blue he would just kill everyone on Red (who cares how that would make Katie feel because shes back on Blue now so she must be happy)).
Ok so!, closing thoughts:

- Graecie needs a break and should be allowed to kill
- Mae needs the biggest hug ever and a break (omg I didn't even mention how mean the Creaking King was to her today)
- Katie should kill her brother (it would break her in turn)
- Springwell should be ruined by the time this is over (I need to see him dead at the fault of Nom)
- 4C needs.... to still be alive (actually it would be so fun if this was a permadeath (I don't think it is though))
- The cast is made of such amazing actors!!!! I cannot stress how great these people are!!!
